Chat Commerce: One way “Personal Assistant” and “Chat-commerce” apps can scale up

During one of the IM sessions at CoHo, I was sharing my experience with a personal assistant app called Good Service. Being startup guys, we slowly moved from my super positive customer experience to discussing how can they potentially SCALE their service in an EFFECTIVE/OPTIMIZED way.

One of the colleagues compared their execution model to that of a “shoe polish service” business. He explained that shoe polish service business is hardest to scale because:

  • It’s a 1-to-1 on-demand service business, which means for every customer using the service, you need 1 service provider ready.
