Earlier this week, we went down to the shopping centre to speak to shoppers and residents about the expected news.

It was clear that the news had worried some shoppers as many were shopping there with fears it was going to be closed within the coming days.

One of those was Carol, who said she would miss having the luxury of shopping in her favourite stores on her doorstep.

Carol lives in nearby Leavesden and says she visits the centre at least once a week.
